Lisa Henry is an independent curator based in Los Angeles. She has been a guest curator and art consultant for institutions on both the east and west coasts including The Wadsworth Atheneum in Connecticut, The High Museum in Atlanta, Jenkins Johnson Gallery in New York, The Japanese American National Museum and The UCLA Hammer Museum both in Los Angeles. In 2008 she received an Emily Hall Tremaine Exhibition Award along with, Nizan Shaked and Gloria Sutton and Kimberli Meyer, Director of the MAK Center for Art & Architecture, to organize the show How Many Billboards? Art in Stead. The exhibition consists of billboards created by California conceptual artists. Works by Kira Lynn Harris, Kerry Tribe, Kori Newkirk, and Jennifer Bornstein are now on view throughout Los Angeles.
